The value of Education Resources may not be as high as actual professional degree, however people are starting to get awareness that even if the don’t have a degree they can earn as much from doing short courses and maintaining their position in their area of expertise. The advantages of short courses are that a person can do it while doing his/her other job or while studying. Now days many people don’t even acquire certificates, they just read books and jump into practical field, it is not bad but having an authorized certificate has its own value and a person can get a job merely based on that certificate. For example with the booming gaming industry many new companies have been formed and they are trying to make their name but they don’t have enough money to hire professional animators and 3D designers so they hire new people who just have a diploma or certificate in the desired field. Here are some of the courses which may benefit a person.
MS Office and Windows Diploma: Not as good as other certificates how ever it will be good enough to get you a job in any office and company. In addition you must have good command in English and taking notes. There are many institutes offering diploma in MS Office and Windows operating system. Make sure that the institute is well reputed and teaches are competent.
Database Administrator: Certainly have more value than the previous one and of course more difficult also. If you have worked in MS Access than you must have knowledge about basic database objects like what simple query language (SQL) is or how to make forms and reports. Microsoft is offering entire course on SQL, along with it Microsoft is also offering Microsoft Certified Database Administrator. 3D Animator and Designer: As I mentioned above with the gaining popularity of gaming industry, 3D animation have come far enough and also have become very popular. I want to mention one thing here which may seem a little off topic but Grand Theft Auto 4 have grossed more than 500 million dollars in just one week of its release and many “gurus” are saying that it’s going to make near 1.5 billion dollars. With producers turning form Hollywood to gaming industry there is much more than just a cartoon for a good designer. A lot of institutes are offering courses in this field and you can learn about 3D Studio Max, Maya and Cinema 4D very well. For those who are natural designers may find it easy.
Website Designing: The most popular of the previous courses, website designing is something and I personally recommend. I know some people who are designing website and logos for 300 to 1000 dollars but now this trend is changing and designers are charging by hour which vary from person to person and their quality but usually range from 20 to 100 dollars per hours. You need to have knowledge about basic HTML PHP, Flash, Graphic Designing, XHTML and ASP if you want to be a good Website builder and if you are not a hack and don’t copy other people work then trust me you won’t get poor.
